As Move to Empower’s lead financial associate on the board, Andrea Tsentides volunteers her services as a certified public accountant by overseeing all budget tracking and tax reporting  for M2E.

 

Andrea is Associate Professor of Accounting at Marymount Manhattan College.  She received an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, and later became a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York. She teaches accounting at the Marymount Manhattan College, and her research interests include adherence to the auditing standards under time pressure across different countries at multinational organizations. She has taught and worked in the United States and abroad including at the Bank of Cyprus and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Currently, Andrea is pursuing a PhD in Accounting at Rutgers University, where she is an Accounting Doctoral Scholar awarded by the American Institute of CPAs.

A native of Cyprus, Andrea is an active member of her local Greek community in NY.
